BY: Ruzly Ismail Performance management is an essential aspect of Human Resource Management (HRM) that involves the continuous monitoring and evaluation of employee performance to ensure that organizational goals are met. This essay will discuss the various methodologies that can be used in performance management in HRM, based on academic research. The first methodology that can be used in performance management in HRM is the Balanced Scorecard. According to Kaplan and Norton (1992), the Balanced Scorecard is a strategic tool that enables organizations to align their performance goals with their strategic objectives. The Balanced Scorecard includes four perspectives: financial, customer, internal processes, and learning and growth.
